Membership and Outreach Committee

Mission

The Membership and Outreach Committee shall be advocates for Keystone GIS members and benefits to the membership, work to acquire and sustain the membership for Keystone GIS with a focus on under-represented populations, and function as the communication arm of Keystone GIS. The Committee will handle communication across all social media channels, email listservs and will be responsible for handling other forms of public- and membership-focused outreach.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and manage the membership database
• Manage the organization's social media outlets
• Manage communications through non social media outlets (Wild Apricot, Gmail Listserv)
• Advocate for and deliver member benefits
• Encourage active membership and website profile updates
• Coordinate the annual membership drive

Goals and Tasks

• Engage and encourage members-at-large to participate in social media and outreach
• Provide consistent messaging across all social media outlets 
• Develop a plan to implement an annual membership drive
• Manage membership payments and auto-renewals
• Focus membership enrollment on under-represented populations and students
