The Western Pennsylvania GIS Conference celebrates its presence since its inception in 2006 (was a “GIS Day” event for 5 years before) as one of the region’s most valued gatherings for geospatial professionals, scholars, students, and industry partners. Hosted on the PennWest University–Clarion campus in Clarion, PA, this annual event continues its long-standing mission of advancing the understanding and application of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) across Western Pennsylvania and beyond. Over two decades, the conference has grown into a collaborative hub where attendees share knowledge, explore emerging technologies, and engage in meaningful conversations about spatial data and its role in solving real-world challenges.
