Mr. Hasemeier has more than 40 years of environmental, municipal and industry-related engineering experience. He has been extensively involved with facility operations, permitting and regulatory issues, and has also managed or contributed to various guidance documents, infrastructure plans, designs, and engineering reports. He has successfully overseen the development of a variety of municipal and environmental infrastructure projects and is knowledgeable about pollution prevention and the mitigation of environmental impacts. He has also provided testimony for a variety of hearings that have included land development and zoning approvals.
Additionally, Mr. Hasemeier is heavily involved in local government and community affairs. He has recently held the position of President of the Cumberland Franklin Counties Borough Association and various leadership positions in the Pennsylvania State Boroughs Association (PSAB). He has also held the voter-elected position of Councilman for New Cumberland Borough (PA). He is also the past President of the Keystone Chapter (PA) of SWANA, a national solid waste advocacy organization.
Mr. Hasemeier is a licensed professional engineer in 15 states. Mr. Hasemeier’ s career has also included experience as a public official which includes 6 years as a county DPW deputy commissioner responsible for the development and operation of a 200 tons per day waste to energy facility plus nearly 2 years as a State environmental official responsible for oversight of waste to energy facility permits and designs.
